I understand that:

LEAD Foundation Membership Pledge

I pledge to support the Foundation mission, the California Cadet Corps, youth development, ethical conduct, conflict disclosures, fundraising support, professionalism, and organizational reputation.

Confidentiality Agreement

I understand that I may receive confidential, proprietary, sensitive, privileged, or non-public information regarding the LEAD Foundation, the California Cadet Corps, cadets and their families, donors, finances, membership records, personnel matters, board deliberations, strategic plans, legal matters, contracts, negotiations, and other non-public information.

I agree that I will: maintain confidentiality of non-public information; not disclose confidential information without authorization; use confidential information only for Foundation purposes; safeguard electronic and paper records; refrain from discussing confidential matters on social media; and continue protecting confidential information after membership ends.

I understand violations may result in discipline, termination of membership, legal action, or other remedies.

Membership Responsibilities, Liability, and Acknowledgment

I acknowledge and agree that: membership is contingent upon Board approval; dues do not guarantee membership; membership may be suspended or terminated for policy violations; I am expected to support Foundation activities and the California Cadet Corps; I will disclose actual, potential, and perceived conflicts of interest; and failure to disclose conflicts may result in discipline.

I will support and protect the reputation of the LEAD Foundation. I may not bind, obligate, or represent the Foundation without written authorization. Members are responsible for their own actions and conduct.

Indemnification protections applicable to directors and officers do not automatically extend to members. I may incur personal legal, financial, reputational, or other liability arising from my actions. I voluntarily assume the responsibilities and risks associated with membership.

Applicant Certification, Representation, and Acknowledgment

Under penalty of perjury under the laws of California, I certify that all statements, disclosures, and information provided are true, correct, complete, and not misleading. I have not omitted any material fact affecting eligibility.

I understand membership is a privilege. I understand false statements or omissions may result in denial, suspension, or termination of membership. No person may guarantee membership, voting rights, office, election, appointment, or authority absent formal Board action.

Dues

Membership dues of $25.00 are paid when you submit this application. Paying dues does not make you a member: if the Board does not approve your application, your dues are refunded in full.
