The coin is in a modern silver color, 2" across. On one side it has two cadets in 3D with a compass on a land navigation course. this side shows the mottos "Essayons! Let Us Try!" and the Cadet Corps core values of  Service, Integrity, and Respect. On the other, the California grizzly bear and outline of California with the Cadet Corps name and "Forging Tomorrow's Leaders."
